Dialpad Communications Announces New Lower International Calling RatesDialpad Communications Lowers Its Global PC-to-Phone and Calling Card Rates, with Cuts up to 85%Milpitas, Calif., May 23, 2003 - Dialpad Communications®, Inc., a leading global provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions, announced today that it has lowered its PC-to-Phone and Calling Card rates to hundreds of destinations around the world. Following the recent launch of its new improved dialpadchameleon PC-to-Phone software, Dialpad has been able to take advantage of greater efficiencies to lower its prices worldwide. Through a series of price cuts over the period from April 8 to May 23, rates to and from most countries have been lowered. The move brings users savings of over 85% off calls to China, over 50% off rates to major cities in India, and similar discounts to many other places. Sample PC-to-Phone rates from the U.S. include per-minute rates of 2.9˘ to London and Sidney, 4.5˘ to Beijing and Tokyo, and 4.9˘ to Mexico City and Buenos Aires. In addition to the changes in PC-to-Phone pricing, Dialpad is now able to deliver better rates to consumers through its Phone-to-Phone Calling Card service as well. After doing a major price cut a few months earlier on February 6, this second round of rate reductions will make staying in touch more affordable for people in the U.S. who are on the road or who don't have regular access to a computer. Calls within the U.S. are 5.9˘ per minute and international calls to over 30 countries can be made for less than 10 cents per minute. "Dialpad continues to achieve greater efficiencies through new partnerships, technical advances, and higher volume that allow us to pass on better rates to our end users," said Craig Walker, Dialpad's CEO. "The progress that we have made in the last couple months in terms of sound quality and cost structure has significantly improved our competitive position and the value that we can provide to our customers."
